Xiaomi teased a global launch event on September the 15th

Just a weak ago, Xiaomi held a Chinese launch event. They introduced their first mainstream smartphone with an under-display camera, the Mi Mix 4. In the same event, they also announced two new iterations of the Mi Pad lineup. The Mi Pad 5 and 5 Pro both comes with impressive specs.

Now it seems that Xiaomi is planning on a global launch of these products. Along with the Mi Mix 4, the Mi Pad 5, and the 5 Pro, Xiaomi might introduce the Mi 11T and 11T Pro. Let's see what those new tablets and smartphones are offering.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 4

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is a premium flagship from Xiaomi. It has all the latest technologies Xiaomi has to offer in a device. You will get the first under-display camera. Judging by the initial impression of the YouTube channel TechNick, the new display technology is impressive.

The front camera of the phone is barely noticeable, especially when the screen is on. The display can hide the housing even at a considerable angle. It also shows the best picture quality.

Aside from the screen, Xiaomi is packing everything latest and greatest in this device. Overclocked Snapdragon 888+, 8 or 12 GB of RAM, and 128 to 512 GB internal memory is available. Xiaomi is bringing back the 120W fast charging with the Mi Mix 4.

There are detailed discussions available in the article on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 and 5 Pro

Xiaomi announced the Mi Pad 5 and 5 Pro back on August the 10th. It was a China-exclusive announcement like the Mi Mix 4. Fortunately, Xiaomi will unveil the new tablets for the global market at the September event.

The Mi Pad 5 series have a few distinguishable features. Unfortunately, the display is not one of them. Xiaomi is using LCD panels this time. Both the Mi Pad 5 and 5 Pro has LCDs. They have other nifty features with those panels, though.

According to GSMArena, the LCDs offer Dolby Vision and HDR10 for stunning picture quality. Xiaomi is also offering a 120Hz refresh rate with those panels. So, the scrolling and web browsing experience will be impressive.

The processing power also differs from the Mi Pad 5 to the 5 Pro. The Pro variant has a Snapdragon 870 inside, where the regular 5 offers the 860. The Mi Pad 5 also lacks in the Ram department. It has only 6GB of RAM, where the 5 Pro has an 8GB option.

The most distinguishable feature between the tablets is the camera setup. Although the front camera is the same 8MP on both models, they don't have the same back camera setup. The Mi Pad 5 only has a 13MP standard camera with an f/2.0 aperture. But the Mi Pad 5 pro has two different camera setups for two separate models.

In the 5G model, Xiaomi has put a 50MP f/2.5 primary camera with a 5MP f/2.4 depth sensor. In the Wi-Fi model, the primary camera has a reduced resolution. This time the primary camera is 13MP with an f/2.0 aperture. However, the depth sensor is the same in both models.

Lastly, the tablets differ from each other in the battery and charging departments. Mi Pad 5 gets an 8720mAh cell, where the Pro variant's cell is only 8600mAh. The Mi Pad 5 Pro compensates with the charging speed, though. Xiaomi has put 67W fast charging in the Mi Pad 5 Pro. On the flip side, the Mi Pad 5 only gets 33W fast charging.

Xiaomi Mi 11T 5G and 11T Pro 5G

Xiaomi might end the September event with the launch of the Mi 11T 5G and the 11T Pro 5G. Judging by the past, the T lineup was always a budget-friendly alternative to the flagship series.

Xiaomi has taken the most cost-cutting measures for the Mi T lineup of phones. They tried to offer the best overall package for less price. Some Mi T iterations had LCD panels instead of AMOLEDs. In some cases, Xiaomi used SoCs from MediaTek to reduce costs. Still, the Mi T series phones became a success for Xiaomi.

Both Mi 11T and the 11T Pro is getting AMOLED panels. The processors are different, though. The Mi 11T has a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, where the Pro is getting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. They are also likely to have a 120Hz refresh rate.

Batteries of the Mi T smartphones were always impressive. This time Xiaomi is also not displeasing. They are putting 5000mAh batteries in both the Mi 11T and the Mi 11T Pro. Along with an impressive unit, both phones have a 120W fast-charging capacity.

According to MySmartPrice the pricing of Mi 11T is £633.96 (about 64,500 INR) for the 8GB + 128GB variant and £660.95 (about 67,300 INR) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The 11T Pro is £758.69 (about 72,300 INR) for a 128GB storage, whereas the 256GB model is £785.42 (about 80,000 INR)

Conclusion

Xiaomi's September event has a few impressive devices to offer. If they price everything right, every product in this event will increase Xiaomi's lead as the best smartphone manufacturer in the world.

What do you think about this event? Do you think Xiaomi can be the best smartphone manufacturer for long? Or do you think they can sell a lot of Mi Mix 4?
